There are days where moving forward is fluid and easy and there are days that moving forward is hard and a slog. But that just is. They won’t all be good days. But we’re still moving forward. Perhaps today is only one step forward. Perhaps today’s step is I didn’t use. Always forward.

**Do you have a mantra? A word for phrase that you use when it starts to get hard?**

I have a few but when I look at them they have two themes. Gratitude and forward progress. Even when it’s hard and dark I can find something I’m grateful for and use that to take yet another step.

I recently came up with this one thanks to a typo in a message thread with a buddy: Gratefulness opens us to Great Fullness.

I also say this stuff a lot: “You gotta go through it to get to it.”, “Help helps”, & “Slow is smooth; smooth is fast.”
