My dad was in active addiction for a good majority of my teenage years, he recently decided to give sobriety a chance 9 months ago. He recently had a slip up when he came home but he’s making the effort to learn from it. I’m proud of his ambition to become sober and am very glad he made it out of his addiction alive.

I can relate to this. My dad was in active addiction throughout my childhood as well. Made for a pretty wild family dynamic, but he has been clean from meth for coming up on 9 years!

Hell yes! 35 years and my Dad still hasnt given sobriety a shot. Its awesome to hear your Dad is!
