# Toxic Family Members

Hey all! Going on 7 years clean time. My dad recently lost his home to a house fire and was staying with me, my fiance, and our toddler. He has boundary issues and it was pretty unbearable at first but I stuck it out. He then got prescribed benzos. Had to politely tell him he couldn’t stay here anymore. The old me could have never done that. I am proud (still feel a little guilty), that I made a decision to protect my peace and my families. Toxic family members are hard to have relationships with. Thinking of all who might experience something similar.
