Learning More about Motivational Interviewing

I recently attended the NAPRS training at the Art Shelf and was introduced again , with a better understanding, to MI. I ran across the whole book-third edition and plan on reading at least major parts of it. I think it will teach me how to be more genuinelly present and better listening skills than ever. At first I thought It was a little manipulative and would block authentic interaction, but now I feel it would deepen my ability to really hold space for my relatives. What are you guys thinkinh
