1/28 - Be the Goldfish and QoTD

Sunrises seem like a special time. A transition out of the darkness of night and into the brightness of a new day.

Are there times or events that feel special to you?

I like a refreshing morning. Seems like every day is a chance to do better.

I think the times that feel most special to me are times when I am witnessing the power of weather, nature, or some other force out of our control. For example, every time I see the northern lights I am just struck with awe. Another example that really stands out is when I watched a Tornado ripping across a forest and into a field. I find it so humbling to see these types of wonders in person.

This morning at 530 am I heard my son yelling for me and when I walked into his room he said “I need mommy snuggles” so I crawled into bed and we talked and laughed for about 20 minutes. I was mommysaurus and gobbled him up and he laughed and laughed. I told him he tasted like blueberries and he thought it was the funniest thing in the world. On the car ride to daycare he just said “blueberries” and started laughing. Theres nothing better than the sound of a 3 year old laughing uncontrollably. I work hard to show up for moments like this- and those laughs make every second worth it.
