Setting boundaries has become an important part of protecting my recovery and mental well-being. Ive learned to say no to situations, people and environments that could potentially jeopardize my progress. These boundaries aren’t exactly about shutting others out but about creating space for my healing and growth. Has anyone else set boundaries for the purpose of recovery?

Absolutely! Boundaries are so important and they can be so difficult. I am dealing with setting some serious boundaries as of last night. Its not fun and doesn’t feel good but its a necessary thing to help myself heal. My sponsor said… “do you want to be right or do you want to do right”
That hit home and is helpful in understanding the pain that is associated with the boundaries that don’t really feel right but we know they “Do right”
