I wish I knew what the answer is for dealing with grief. I feel like it does get a little easier over time but it never seems to go away. I know that for myself I feel best when I am giving back whether that is through volunteering, service, or just trying to be helpful whenever the chance presents itself.

Its painful to think about the person when talking about grief and loss, but I found it helpful to actually think about them a lot, in a positive way. Laughing about their quirks, the goofy things they did, the part of them that drove me nuts. Eventually when you start thinking of that person your brain becomes conditioned to associate positive feelings vs the pain you feel around the loss.

β€œGrief is tremendous, but love is bigger. You are grieving because you loved truly. The beauty in that is greater than the bitterness of death. Allowing this into your consciousness will not keep you from suffering, but it will help you survive the next day.”
