Each day in recovery is a huge accomplishment. It is so good seeing so many people enjoying life sober and with their families. Keep up the good work. We got this!

I have 3 hours. I don’t know what keeps me using. The longest I had was, man I can’t even remember anymore. I am so inspired by all the people on here that are in recovery and have some good clean time. I don’t think I’ll ever get there. God knows I’ve tried, but maybe it’s my lack of self esteem and confidence. Idk? I sometimes think I self sabotage a good thing, because nothing ever good happens to me and if something good comes along, I don’t think I’m worthy of it. Idk? Does that make sense? Why would I do that?? Take the bad over the good?? Or am I just too far gone? Idk even how to live anymore. I just exist. ~ g

Did you ever get into treatment? You can try calling Human Services in the county you reside in and tell them you need a comprehensive assessment or a CD assessment, and they should be able to help you get in for free. Otherwise, find your nearest NA group and start going to meetings, get a sponsor, and start working the steps. Remember, you only have to be sober One Day at a Time. Focus on today, and worry about tomorrow when and if it gets here. Good luck.

I will have 5 years at the end of April. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. We Do Recover!
