Recognizing toxic people

One of the difficult things that I have faced in Recovery is recognizing toxic people in my life. I think part of it was that I always blamed myself or felt guilty about experiencing dissatisfaction in my relationships. I am learning that when I feel drained after a interaction, when I feel increased stress, if the person is always the victim or always seems angry about situations these are warning signs for me. What

I love this mindset. It can difficult to make that happen but it’s very beneficial to start recognizing this in order to be able to make the best decisions for one’s’s self. Toxic people do not see what they do to others so it’s important for you to be able to protect yourself from a person like that.
