Personally family is anyone who helps me out in anything about recovery and during the treatment phase. I consider anyone giving me advice and helping me out in the lowest of the phases to be family. Someone who understands why I have to do this. My friend from the group we have at the hood has been family.

That’s absolutely. Anyone who stands by you and shows direction is a family. Some people are compassionate and empathetic and most of all very sensitive to what someone goes through but they do their best to give the help. Kudos to such! I have encountered such people in my life and I can affirm not everyone would want to see you in a bad state. This happened when I was battling depression which almost silently took my life. I met great people who showed that their is a second chance in life and life is such a beautiful thing. They gave a reason to always have positivity and after a while the depression was long gone and to this point I’m doing so well.
